About

Kelly grew up in Boston and began her communications career as a PR intern while taking classes at night at Boston College.

After graduation, she joined the Brigham’s Ice Cream marketing team, where she focused on product PR in the CPG space and restaurant publicity, and ran the company’s CSR program.

From Brigham’s, she went to Fuddruckers where she ran marketing and PR for the 200-location chain. But this was 2000, and she was intrigued with everything happening in tech and the possibility of it changing the world, even in the midst of the dot-com bubble bursting. So she pivoted her focus to tech, and landed at a top global agency - Weber Shandwick - where she joined the Verizon Wireless account team just two months after the wireless company was formed.

When Kelly began working in the mobility space, phone screens were black and white and the first smartphone hadn’t yet hit the market.  During her 12 years at Weber Shandwick, Kelly led the Verizon Wireless business – and had a front-row seat as mobile technologies changed the way we work, live, and play.

When Verizon offered her a position in-house at Verizon’s headquarters in New Jersey, she jumped at the chance to lead messaging for Verizon’s global enterprise business.

As part of the marketing leadership team at Verizon for nearly seven years on both the B2B and B2C sides of the business, she developed and managed successful global and national communications, messaging, and media relations programs, all while leading diverse teams and agencies spread across geographies.

In her last role at Verizon, Kelly led strategic communications for its wireless division, which generated more than $91.7 billion in operating revenue in 2018. In addition to her network, brand, and product work, she also led crisis communications around sensitive issues impacting more than 110 million customers. She developed the communications strategy and worked closely with Verizon’s senior leadership team to align on the message, approach, and expected reputational and business outcomes.

At the end of 2018, Kelly decided she wanted to be back in Boston near her dear friends and family, near the city she loved, and start her own business. Today, she provides the highest level of client service and strategic communications counsel to clients across a variety of industries.

An avid global traveler and scuba diver, rescue dog owner, and grill master, when she’s not working you can find her walking the beach with her black rescue lab, Bahati.
